 Go & Tell Crafts
These crafts serve two purposes: reinforcing what the children have learned in a hands-on activity and any story-related discussion; and, providing the children something they can use to Go & Tell others what they are learning in class.
Each concept uses the same type of craft for each particular week. Each will be described below.
Week 1: Big Bible Story Picture
The craft for the first week is always building a Big Bible Story Picture that will be used to re-tell the story during Week Second Circle Time.
The teacher draws the simple outline shown in the craft resource pages and colors it in with colored pencils. (A picture of the completed storyboard is also included as a suggestion.) The children will decorate and add particular objects or people to the outline during Craft Time. There are two versions of most objects the children are to decorate included in the resources: a blank, white version that can be colored or otherwise decorated; and a color version that can simply be printed off, cut out and stuck onto the Picture. Appendix A in the Teacher's Binder includes directions for making a re-usable board for use in this craft.
Not all people or objects in the story are made by the children. Some are added to the story board by the teacher; or attached to popsicle sticks and used as stick puppets move around in front of the children's storyboard when telling the story in Week 2. These objects/people are also included in the Craft Resource pages. The curriculum includes detailed instructions and resources for this craft.

Week 2: Go and Tell Big Question Craft
The Go and Tell Big Question Craft is something that the children can take home with them to remind them of the Big Question and Lesson concepts; and, to encourage them to share what they've learned with others.

Week 3: Bible Story Picture/Puzzle
The craft for Week 3 of every concept is called the Go and Tell Bible Story Craft. It is something that the children can take home with them to remind them of the Concept Bible story; and, to encourage them to share what they've learned with others.
There are two versions of every Bible story: a blank one and a color one. The blank one can be used to color in. The color one can be used to make a simple puzzle that can be glued down onto a plain piece of paper. Choose whichever version you like.

Busy Hands Discussion Sheet
Craft time is also a great opportunity to engage the children in conversation about what they have learned as their hands are busy working on their craft. Use the Busy Hands Discussion Sheet for discussion ideas. It includes the Big Question and Answer, the Concept, the ACTS prayer and a concept-related version of the gospel. There are simple questions related to each of these concepts suggested.
Be careful NOT overdo on the questions! Be deliberate, but not overwhelming. Choose one or two questions and look for an opportunity to ask them.
