Big Questions and Answers

Big Questions & Answers for little people is a three year children’s systematic theology for three to pre-kindergartener five-year-olds. It presents 52 key biblical truths that expand the children’s understanding of the same12 Big Questions and Answers used in Teach, Take and Tell. There are 3 weeks of curriculum for each of the 52 biblical truths. A Bible story, reflective of the truth is presented along with the concept each of three weeks. This allows the children to master the concept and the story. Actions rhymes, songs, games and crafts reinforce and add variety to this basic core lesson.

The Key Concept and Meaning Signs

After introducing the Big Question and Answer, you will then teach the children a particular key concept about that Big Question they will be learning about. There are two to eight concepts for each Big Question and Answer. These concepts focus in on a particular part of the Big Question and Answer. For example, Big Question 1 has four key concepts:

Big Question #1: How Do I Know What God Is Like?

Answer: He Shows Me What He's Like....

Key Concepts:

1.by the heart He gave me to know and love Him!.

2. in everything I see all around me!

3. through the Bible, the perfect Word of God!

4. through His very own Son, Jesus Christ!

Three weeks of curriculum are available for each of these key concepts before moving on to Big Question #2 and its key concepts.

This key concept is introduced by use of two signs: The Key Concept Sign and the Key Concept Meaning Sign, both provided in the curriculum resources.

The Key Concept Sign

This is a two-sided sign that has the Mystery Concept Picture (used as an Intake Activity at the beginning of the session) on the front side; and has the words to the Key Concept on the back. This sign is also located in the Big Question Box, where the Big Question and Answer sign was placed.

For example in Big Question 1, Concept 1 you could say: "Today we are going to think about one way God shows us what He's like..."

Then get the Concept Question and Answer sign from the Big Question Box and hold it up, using the front Mystery Concept Picture side: "Do you remember our Mystery Picture and Question? It's our clue to something we're learning about our Big Question. How Can I Know What God Is Like? He Shows Me What He's Like...by the what? by the HEART He gave me to know and love Him. That's right...let's put it all together..."

Then turn over sign, revealing the whole concept and reading it to them.
